Hello everyone,

I know several people applying to USNA, and a few of them got a TWE the other day, and I have still yet to hear. Does this mean that I have a better chance of getting in?

Certainly a 50% better shot than those several you noted in your note. Beyond that? Those who know aren't telling ...yet.

Well I know for a fact that no one in my district has been appointed because I spoke to my congressmen and that is what he told me. I was more competitive then they were (not trying to sound cocky), but since they found out this past week shouldn't I find out next week?

Things are coming down to the wire right now. Being honest, at this point, probably more people will get TWEs than BFEs. That said, all of the appointments have NOT been handed out and, as you see on this forum, appointments are still coming. So, until you receive notification, you have as much of a chance as the next person.

I agree with usna1985.

From my experience all my friends received there appointments around the same time... and later I received my rejection letter. This was a year or two ago though.

But dont lose hope its not over until the fat lady sings.

Well I think the main reason I haven't heard yet is I need a medical waiver that I am sure will be granted, and I am also a recruited athlete.

This might be a dumb question but do they send out TWEs to those who didn't receive nominations? Or do they just assume those people will know they are rejected?

I am sure they do (not positive) but you can get a spot at NAPs without a nomination also

I don't believe that you do, as without a nomination of some sort, you aren't eligible for an appointment.
