It's a lot of emotions for me really. Mainly excitement but I'm also nervous just jumping into an entirely new way of life. Pumped to meet everyone else though.

Your first impression will be when you report to the cadet in the red sash. Make sure you know that and that you say it loud and with confidence. I did that at CCBT and my First Sergeant said he liked my motivation. After that my nerves calmed down lol.

Tunnel vision, that's what you can expect.

If you have accepted your appointment, you can add your name to the 2017 Acceptance List if you like.

I am very excited and nervous too! A friend of mine is a Plebe there now and her and I have been emailing about the West Point life. She mentioned a little bit about R-Day - that it is a very exciting and anxious time - as well some stuff about Beast. The way she made it seem is as if Beast is hell for one who doesn't prepare before. For those who have done some preparation, it's definitely a challenge, but can be fun (or maybe she was screwing with me...).

Are you all worried about room mates? I hope I don't get one I can't stand.

I'm sure you will encounter a few people you can't stand but hey you're in it for the long run and they will be struggling and trying to cope with challenges just like you. I'm just going to think of Beast as summer camp where the objective is to break you and build you while showing you what you are trully capable of and the true meaning of perseverance. I'm looking forward to the challenge because at the end I will be a more refined individual and a cadet.:)
