My DS1 had one year of college and an ROTC scholarship before he started at WP. Cadet Command (at Ft Knox, yes, I called) told us his ROTC scholarship would be revoked once he signed the oath at WP. His college ROTC was really good about it and literally held the revocation paperwork DS1 signed until I emailed them to tell them DS1 signed in at WP (a pre-arranged plan with DS1). I was afraid DS1 would be injured BEFORE Beast! Ugh.
DS2 this year has ROTC scholarships Air and Army, but I am encouraging him to email the programs who have been calling (hounding) him and tell them thank you, but give the scholarship to some other deserving person. Also, to decline both in their portals. He will likely do that this week.
