R-Day Health Question

Yea, not the crosses I was thinking of either, but I can see your point. Thanks for the help!

Symbols akin to the last two have appeared in tattoos on more than one R-day, and several new cadets have been outprocessed for racist and extremist tattoos. I can think of several I personally saw.

:eek::eek:

hey everyone--sorry to add to this thread but i have a R Day health related question...this may be sheer paranoia but while i was putting out the garbage this morning i stubbed my pinky toe on a brick that was covered by some bushes. it hurt pretty bad and was bleeding (i may have lost the nail) but i didn't think much of it. would this be something west point would turn me around for on R day? it doesn't affect my running or walking but would they see this and assume it would get worse? any insight on this issue would be greatly appreciated! thanks

Clean it up and don't let it get infected. If it doesn't bother you then you will be good to go.

Injuries and illnesses do happen before R-Day.
One of my daughter's classmates at MMI tore out his knee 3 weeks before R-Day. He was deferred to the following year.
On tragedy I recall a few years back was a young lady who was seriously injured in a bike accident a few months prior to R-day.

IF you get sick while traveling or upon arrival in Highland falls - CALL admissions! They will help you! A young lady in my daughter's class got sick while traveling with her family - the morning prior she woke up with a fever, they called admissions who got her into Keller (they were in HF) she was treated with antibiotics and able to report.
If you become sick and are antibiotics - e.g strep throat; dont' forget to take your medicine with you! Don't ignore it a risk a relapse!

The bottom line - if ANYTHING happens to you; call admissions! They really really will help you as best they can.
