R Day is July 1

DS just received an email from his RC and R Day is officially July 1. RC said they will get the FULL benefits of Beast!

It's really interesting to hear this announcement. We've been hearing for weeks that R Day was going to be July 8th and that Beast would be a week shorter. The Commandant even echoed this during a classwide brief for the Yuks right before Spring Break. He said that the only thing left for the change to go through at that time was the Superintendent's approval, so I guess that's where things were changed.

I checked the USCC Summer calendar and they've had 1 July as the date for R-Day since 1 March.

The moral of this story??? It ain't final until it's released from USMA official sources!!!

(And even then, prepare to be flexible.... it is the Army!)

Glad the 2017's will get to enjoy the full CBT experience. Maybe even with a pushup or two this time. (Sez the guy who can do at least 5, but would have to rest up afterwards)
