R-day Low quarters.

I bought my low quarters at the px on my visit to West Point with the intention of breaking them in before R-day. When I arrive on R-day, should I already have a base coat of polish on my low quarters or should I plan on starting fresh based on how the cadre may tell me to polish?

Ask America's Finest to be sure but they should not get too dirty. Just clean them up, you don't have to polish them.

Make sure they are presentable and if you want you could put on a base coat but be careful that they don't look shiny when you get there though as it could potentially draw a little attention especially on Day 0 when they will be looking for ANYTHING they can get on to you for.
