I'm kind of confused, what exactly do we need to bring on R-day? A copy of our social and that's it? Can I bring under armour to run in, what color should it be, do they issue that? I know there are certain things we can bring but out of those which are necessary?

Also, go to USMA homepage: http://www.usma.edu/
Down toward the bottom under "R-day class of 2014" are two links. If you click on the "new cadets and parents information" it brings up the cadet candidate booklet in pdf form. Several pages down is a list of items you need to bring on R-day, some optional items, and forbidden items.

Haha, ok thanks. My computer fails everytime I try to load a pdf so that's an issue. Thanks for the help though.

Outside of a bag: brush, mini flashlight, running shoes, boots (yeah, being small rocks- my boots fit IN my bag!)
    Folder with paper work

Of these, you have been asked to wear dark socks and black leather shoes, and to bring your boots and your running shoes in a small piece of luggage, like a sports bag, that has a tag with your full name on it. If you wear glasses, bring a sports strap. Bring a copy of your signed social security card; the Direct deposit form with your banking information, and any medical information that DoDMERB has requested. All else is optional.

I was thinking the same thing. It's a bit late to be asking these questions...

I was reviewing that pdf and it says to bring X-rays and such if DoDMERB wants them. I was medically qualified way back probably around November/October and haven't looked at anything DoDMERB related since. Would I have received a letter if they had wanted to see something?

kinda late for this stuff guys, but I personally am bringing a file folder with most of my paperwork in it
    Ziplock 1. compression shorts
Ziplock 2. Boot Socks and low quarter socks
    Ziplock 3. Toiletries/ additional bootsocks
Aditional Items. Headlamps, Leatherman Wave, Q tips, Moleskin, and Gold Bond
Combat Boots tied on the outside of the bag.

I packed the bag before i even stepped on the plane to New York, so for R day all I have to do is pick the bag up and I'm good to go.
