DODMERB webpage status reflecting R251.24 status wich is apparently a call for all medical records since DS was 10 years old. Only real thing in his history was being labled as an asthmatic in 6th grade due to difficulty breathing during a wrestling match. He stopped taking the medicine in 8th grade because the only time he ever had a problem again was another wrestling match, of course he had braces so he had to wear a top and bottom mouth guard so by the third period of a wrestling match, anyone would have problems breating with those in their mouth. DS gave the doctor a long brief on the whole thing so hopefully between what he verbally told the doctor and lack of any issues showing up in the record it will be a non-issue and not require any waivers. This is for an AFROTC scholarship for E&E

And your question is...?????
If the letter says submit all his medical, then submit all the medical records. You will be receiving a letter which will explain what you need to do. Recommend you carefully read the letter and then do what it says.

This should probably be moved to the DoDMERB forum. However, DS who is also an AFROTC scholarship recipient received a R251.26 code. That particular code requires all medical records since the age of 12 to present. DS had "childhood" asthma before the age of ten and no symptoms since. Eventhough there was no explanation for the remedial request, I assumed they wanted to make sure he hadn't had any symptoms since the age of 12. We got a final decision within a week of them receiving the medical records. As to the potential waiver question, someone more knowledgeable than myself should address that. Best of luck to your DS.

thanks for the info hill82. I figured someone on this board had been down this road.
