Great to see more objective, results-based ratings coming out. Especially when you consider how many schools have been "gaming the system" with US News. Also great to see all the different schools, each notable for different reasons, listed in these rankings. Good stuff!!

everybody and their mother keeps putting out some kind of list anymore. There are about as many college lists as reality shows and its hard to take either seriously.

Very true. I always found it interesting how parents get so caught up in these rankings. It's about the school accomplishments and how it gives their son or daughter a greater edge. After sending four children to college what really matters most is how they(my children) fit in a school. Second and a close second, is how we can pay for it.

In in the end it is about what the student accomplishes and learns and not as much the school.

Agreed--It is about what the students accomplish and take away from their own college experience that matters most. Some of the rankings are very interesting, however. In the end, it is good to see some of the focus being pulled away from US News.

Agreed (although I've never heard of some of the schools or the source of this last one)...
It is great to see other, more-reputable media resources like Forbes, Money, USA Today, etc. coming out with ranking systems... And Look forward to seeing more military colleges on 'em!

Other then to make news and therefore advertisement for your newspaper/magazine, I have never found these rankings to be of any real value. One should apply to colleges within their family's budget, suit what you are looking for and offer the degrees you are interested in.
