So, while we wait for regular decision letters I thought I would do some reading. Some of these might make good presents, hint, you 'rents on the board. "The Hard Corps, 21st Century Leadership" by Husted (thinking my Ratline experience might go better if I look inside and fix some attitudes/habits now.) "The Jeep" by Judge (2011 pub. Humanized the experience. LMAO. Maybe I'm not supposed to know this stuff yet. Promise to behave.) "Breaking Out:VMI and the Coming of Women" by Brodie (helped to see VMI history in a different light; respect for female cadets commences now.)

Those are some pretty good book recommendations. Let me add to that list another awesome book that every incoming rat needs to read before matriculation: "The Fabric of the Cosmos: Space, Time, and the Texture of Reality" by Brian Greene.

Super read. I watched the PBS thing on the "Elegant Universe" a few years ago. Blew my mind.

I read this book, along with the elegant universe, and am currently chewing my way through a translated version of Copernicus' On the Revolution of Heavenly Spheres. I love physics and cosmology and these are all excellent reads for people interested in the topic

Thanks. Just DLed to my IPad from IBooks. If you like to stretch your mind, take a look at "The Grand Design" by Stephen Hawking, available in Kindle on-line. It will make you think.
