I have myopia/nearsightedness at -8.00 diopters in both eyes but correctable to 20/20. There are no astigmatisms or anything else wrong with my eyes; I am just extremeley nearsighted. Also, I do not plan on becoming a pilot (want to be a SWO), and if it matters, I am female.

Is this automatically a medical diaqualification for USNA and NROTC? I have found different answers around the internet, so I was wondering if anyone here would know...

The current standard is less than 8 diopters. If you are at 8 diopters then yes it would be a disqualification for Navy programs. A waiver may be possible, but I don't have any first hand knowledge.
