I'm back from my recruiting trip. The USAFA is an amazing place and thanks to all who took time to show me around. Mother Nature could have been a little kinder for the TCU game but it is what it is. Being from CT I thought I would be able to handle the cold but NOOOOOOOOO!!! You can't beat 15 degrees in October. Is that the norm?

Thanks to the forum for providing great insight and advice on the application/nomination process. Application is submitted, nomination paper work done and physical and remedials completed. Only the ALO interview left. Hopefully it will be a big thumbs up in a few weeks. If not, Boston here I come.

My son knew immediately when he saw the campus from afar on I25 that that was the place for him. Did you feel that way too, Dame?

What are you being recruited for?

I was at the Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs for a elite swim camp back in August. I fell in love with the area then. I had the opportunity to meet the fantastic coaches from the AFA who came down to interview me. I liked them immediately and knew that step one had been taken (liking the individuals who are going to beat you up athletically for the next four years). Step two was to visit to the academy and check it out first hand. I absolutely loved it and knew that, in the big scheme of things, this was the place for me.:shake: Step three: Getting all the paper work completed (done) and waiting patiently each day for the mail to come.

My son was on the same trip, swimmer too. Made his decision that AF is the place; he really liked the team and the coaches. Now he is waiting to see if they can get him his LOA.

Good luck to you future AFA swimmers!

Go Army Swim and DIVE!!
