I've wondered if the mail carriers have a forum where the talk about the crazy mailbox stalkers?
Does anyone know how many scholars appointments they will typically offer?
It started out with about 70 on the first day of summer orientation
found this in another threadThe statistics would really be meaningless since the number of CGAS appointments (18) is so small and represents less than 15% of the anticipated total number of CGAS appointments that will be offered this year. CGAS appointees are essentially applicants who would have been tendered appointments if their academic background/preparation was stronger, so the applicant's overall record (extracurricular achievement; leadership potential; motivation/desire to attend; etc.) is very strong but we're concerned about their ability to succeed academically during 4/c year without an additional year of academic preparation.
.........(crickets)..............................................
Hey Long Island Sound,
I used to enjoy the sound of crickets.....
Riverdale, why do you refer to it in the past tense? No crickets where you are?
Nothing in Connecticut either, although I won't know until my family forwards the message on to me at college..
Hang In There Gang!
since the academy is on spring break this week that might explain the crickets i don't know if anyone is in admissions to send out letters. this week's mailman stalking=uneventful!!
Any news on when they'll start reviewing the current preps and offering appointments for them?
The Academy may be on Spring Break, but Admissions is definitely not...this is actually one of the busiest weeks of RA with Admissions Committee convening almost every day to consider both RA appointment recommendations from the CCEB and EA deferrals recommended for appointment after their reevaluation. We've appointed (and will be mailing out appointment letters shortly for) 17 RA applicants and 21 EA deferrals with another 15-20 appointments probably coming before the week is over.
