What is the regular schedual for a cadet in USMA? Or any general kind?

As a member of a sports team my schedule is usually as follows:
0625- wake up
0655- breakfast formation
0700-0710 breakfast
0730-1155 class (dependent upon what periods I have that day)
1200- lunch formation
1215-1235 lunch
1255-0145 Dean's/Commandant's Hour (Tests, Labs, Lectures, other stuff)
0155-1455 Class
1500-1800 Practice time
1800- whenever- dinner, homework, relaxation
TAPS is at 2330 (when you have to be in your room)

Can cadets get up before 0625 to do PT or homework? Is that time a recommended wake up time or required?

Yes, there are quite a few who choose to do this. You may leave your room anytime after 0520. The gym opens are 0530.

Haha, thanks. Just a note for everyone-
Evening Study Period is for Plebes and Yearlings only during which they should be doing homework, not watching TV or playing video games.

Do they have weekends off?

Depends. There are four main types of weekends.
B- Completely free. TAPS is 0100 for Friday and Saturday night.
A/C- A/Commandant's- TAPS is 2330 on Friday, 0100 on Saturday. These Saturdays can be used for whatever training or parading is necessary.
A/D- A/Dean's- TAPS is 2330/0100 again, but cadets are usually released by noon on Saturday to do whatever. Only those with Saturday Study Period have to get up early and attend the study session.
F- Football- This is the weekend of a home football game during the fall. Home football games are mandatory unless you have some other authorized duty (Sports competition, etc.). They start around 1300 and go til about 1530 and there are tailgates afterwards if you want to go to them. The Corps is released after the Alma Mater is sung at the end of the game. Football games are usually accompanied by a review (parade) of 1 or 2 regiments (I never drill because we usually have rugby games during the fall). One regiment also marches onto the field before the game. The others might have a SAMI (white glove inspection- takes hours of cleaning to prepare for sometimes).

Because Rugby is year round, I spend most of my weekends doing Rugby stuff. The major 3 day weekends are Labor Day in the fall and MLK and Presidents' Day in the spring semester.

I don't think I've ever had a single mandatory thing to do on Sunday before 1900 accountability formation (making sure everyone is back).

What happens if your Regiment or Company is picked for a SAMI and you are not there because you are playing in the football game?

You should help your roommate clean the room before you go, but if you notify your chain of command your schedule you won't necessarily have to be there for the official inspection. I had two football roommates this past semester.

What was their schedule like on game days- did they leave and go up to the field right after breakfast, etc.

Also, what did they do if they missed some type of training event while at a game?

Anyone knows how active is the male Team Handball?
