After a long and arduous journey of trying to get into West Point I finally got rejected. In the letter I got they say I'm "fully qualified for admission" but I'm not able to be offered a place because of a limited class size. It's fairly ambiguous so I'm wondering if this is what they tell everyone or if I'm special at all.

I think that's what they tell all of the QNS people (which means that you're triple qualified but don't get a slot). That was me last year, so I know what you're going through. I got an appointment this year though, so don't give up if it's what you really want :)

I'm a little bothered that they made me retake the CFA just for a passing Basketball throw and then sending me this.
I'm still waiting on the Air Force Academy though however so I'll reevaluate my options then.

You were a competitive candidate and that's why West Point wanted you to retaked the CFA. If you didn't retake the CFA, your letter would have said you are not qualified.

So would have wanted to receive a letter saying you were not qualified or you were qualified but didn't make the cut?
