Hello,

After taking the initial DoDMERB, I require a remedial exam for a "repeat manifest refraction." The option I chose was the DoDMERB recommended one which involves the DoDMERB paying for a civilian optical exam. Today when I called the assigned office, they appeared to not be sure what they are talking about when it comes to the DoDMERB and even said it had been a while since they have performed an exam.

After consulting others in the office, the woman who I spoke with said that an ophthalmologist would have to see me and they are booked until January. She recommended that I go elsewhere for the exam (not that she has any idea what she is talking about.) Personally, I would rather not wait that long either, and I would like to either find another person in the area or pick the military treatment option, as I am close to several military installations, including Fort Drum. My main question is whether or not this is possible?

Complicating matters for me is that I cannot log on to the DoDMERB website, only DoDMETS. If someone could tell me how to reacquire my username/password that would be great. Thank you.

Lets take your questions in part:

DoDMERB Password Issue: On the website at the bottom, it says "Send mail to: webmaster@dodmerb.tma.osd.mil only regarding UserName and Password change requests."

The issue with the eye doctor: Did you call Concorde? Our staff is here 8:30 to 5 M-F EST to assist you. The number is 800-966-9790. Yes, you can utilize a military treatment facility, but the government preferred option is to use the contractor. Based on what you're telling me, it sounds like its just been awhile since they performed an exam for a cadet AND they didn't have paperwork for you. Simple solution - call Concorde for assistance at the above number. We can get you squared away. You won't have to wait until January, either. :thumb:

Cheers,
Joe

Thank you very much for the assistance, I was able to get everything squared away. Now let's just hope I pass the remedial!
