Remedial Requested

I completed my medical and optical exams on July 26, and my file was reviewed on August 3. On the DoDMERB website next to "Current Medical Status" it shows "Remedial Requested." Both of my exams went well, and both doctors said I was just fine, but I know that the remedial is probably for my medical history. Is there any way that I can figure out exactly which remedial I am supposed to complete before I actually receive a letter from DoDMERB? Is there a place to go on the website or someone I can contact? Thanks to all of those who respond.

I had the same thing happen last year, I thought everything went well and I had nothing wrong with me at the time. The website takes a while to update with the code that describes what the remedial was for. You should also recieve a letter in 2-3 weeks explaining what happened.

Im my case I had a knee problem (since I was a runner) and went to the doctor. I reported this on the questionaire, all that needed to be done was the records from my visit to be sent to DoDMERB and a response from the doctor saying it was already healed/wasn't going to be an issue in the future.

Keep looking at the website daily and the code should appear when the paperwork catches up with the internet. Once that is done, look at the tab on the left "Medical Codes" look under the Remdial codes list and get everything straightened out. Odds are it isn't something to get too stressed about, just get the paperwork in ASAP so "qualified" shows up.

#1dbnugfan,

Did your code finally show up and if so, how long did it take? My son's page just updated to the same mysterious status. It was very quick up to this point - he only had his physical last Wednesday. But I guess that's the whole "hurry up and wait" philosophy.

When I took my DoDMERB exam last year I had a remedial request too. They simply wanted more history on a foot injury (stress fracture) I had obtained while running. You should recieve a letter in the mail in 2-3 weeks and your online DoDMERB profile will probably update with your remedial code in a week.

My son's was quick. Following is timeline:
1 Aug - My DS had his Exams (opt and medical) Through Concorde contracted doctors.
1 Aug – Optical doctor uploaded his repot to Concorde’s site (site status validated this)
2-Aug- Medical doctor mailed his report to Concorde (from Tx. To Pa.)
6-Aug- Concorde updated status as Medical Forms received
8 Aug – Concorde updated status as Submitted to DoDMERB
9 Aug – DoDMERB status updated to Medical records received
9 Aug - DoDMERB status updated to Medical data entry
10 Aug - DoDMERB date exam reviewed
13 Aug DoDMERB updated status date letter sent – Remedial (code updated later that day)
16 Aug received remedial letter
