I was notified by DODMERB of a remedial for Orthopedic questionaire 252.90, and 220.00 for medical records. I once wore orthodics, and has arthroscopic knee surgery. Does this mean that I need a waiver, or are they just trying to get more information?

They want to obtain more definitive information before making a decision regarding DQ, thus a remedial. Think of it as a second opinion.

Waiver means, that DoDMERB already considers it is a DQ, but will allow the specific branch to decide if they'll accept a waiver.

The biggest misconception is that DoDMERB gives waivers, they don't! They just verify if the candidate is in the parameters to be qualified or not.
