How is life different for someone who is in the VTCC and the Reserves (specifically, the Marine Corps Reserves)? Are they put into separate units? Are they treated the same as New Cadets? Any and all answers are much appreciated.

I considered the VTCC seriously/did a lot of research and believe I can answer this. Essentially it will have no impact on how your treated other than being exempt from certain events as needed to fulfill your USMCR obligations. You won't get to skip being a new cadet and going through their system. There also is no specific company for reserve servicemen, you will be mixed in with everyone else and your company will change during the year (other than Band company, sorta). Someone with more knowledge can feel free to correct anything I have wrong.

Few years back, heard about exchange opportunities for VT cadets to study one semester at VMI, and vice-versa. Does that still happen?
