I would like to send an updated version of my resume, does my guidance counselor need to send it or can I?

If it contains information relative to your performance/accomplishments in school it would be better that it is sent by your guidance counselor. If it is regard to your community involvement, it would be better received if you had the organization send a copy - just a personal opinion, of course.

When I wanted to update admissions, I asked my BGO to send in the information. I'm think he added it to his evaluation. Not sure how that works though.

So you need your school or organization to send something?

Yes... or they could give you something on their letterhead and signed which you could forward.
