Hello y'all.

Yesterday I completed my CFA which was the final component in my USMA application. Now that I have all green-lights on the portal does this mean my application goes to the admissions board? I know that they meet every Tuesday, is there any way to see when or if they review your application? Or do you have to wait for the mailed packet?

Thanks for your help!

the best way to find out the status of your file is to contact your regional commander in the admissions office.

Other than contacting your liason, you'll have to wait for the letter. The portal doesnt show your updated status until about a week after you get the letter (at least mine didnt).

Ah I see. Are they capable and/or willing to inform you of your status before you receive a packet?

Yes, your Regional commander can tell you the status of your application.

what letter/packet are you talking about? your offer of admission?

You won't recieve a packet. My appointment came in a priority mail shipping envelope with a black leather folder inside which contained the letter and a certificate. About a week after, your candidate portal page should automatically update so that an additional box appears underneath of the "nominations recieved box". There you will find links for accepting or declining your appt, personal info, uniform measurements and travel plans.
There will also be a new link for a packet with all of the info you will need from now until June

USMA 2014 - gotcha. Yes, give your Regional Commander a call. He can tell you the status of your application and how you look.
If I were you I would contine update your package by sending in your 7th semester transcripts as soon as they become available and perhaps taking the SAT's/ACT's one more time in Jan. If you win any significant awards or gain any new leadership positions - send that in as well.

Oh, thanks for the info boyda.

And yes I'll do that Just_A_Mom, thank you both for your advice.

I hate waiting now that I've finished the application.
