Room and board or tuition.

Are you suggesting I should be punished for collecting what the Army determined was sufficient for my room and board, despite my ways of finding a living situation suitable for my needs, but below the average? Or am I just reading it all wrong?

IMPO it is perfectly fine to collect the amount CC gives. For example, CC gives cadets a book stipend of $600 per semester. I'm sure most cadets do not spend $600 on books. CC doesn't ask for the difference back. DS figured out it's much less costly to but used or even rent text books.

I agree. I think I read the post wrong, or read too much into it. They don't collect money back when you don't spend $600 and they don't dish out more when you spend over $600. $600 is what they have calculated to be adequate, whether or not you use it all. Same with Room and Board, much like JCleppe pointed out in regards to BAH too. All of my room and board money was spent either on room or board, but I guess some would argue if the big flatscreen TV or extra cases of beer were necessary for complete room and board. I made the choice they were, carbs are a crucial part of every diet.

That's a clear example of alcohol abuse. What kind of beer did you have in mind?

A good Hefeweizen to bring out the flavor of the Corn Flakes, and of course a nice Porter to balance the sweetness of your Capt'n Crunch.

Jcleppe,

I have to disagree. Capn Crunch should have a Hard Cider to bring to balance the sweet and make it taste like Apple Struedel!
Frosted flakes should be an IPA.
Cheerios should be à dark beer!

I prefer having a nice mug of Bud Latte with my cornflakes in the morning. Served ice cold.

ok on a more serious note... how do you get the blue box to come up when referencing/highlighting other posters comments??? I am at a loss. thanks

When you reply to a certain post just click the blue "Quote" button. The post will appear with the words

Practicing :) I had the same question? How do you quote just a section of the quote in blue?

Press the same quote button, but when typing your reply, just delete the parts you don't wish to quote out.
the code for quoting is just beginning with [ quote ] and ending with [ /quote ]. (minus the space between brackets)

Sorry. A.W.O.L.

Did not mean to offend. Was just amazed at creativity that can be exercised. Any officer should be able to recognize the rules and work the possibilities. Our 7th grader did not recognize the rules, but exercised an idea. Every system has its parts, so one should be able to configure a working solution.

My apologies at misreading your post.
