Wow, you got my dream option (the one in bold).

Awesome job getting the other scholarship and appointments too, that's very impressive!

Are you leaning toward any one in particular?

I actually accepted my Air Force Academy appointment about 2 weeks ago. I will be joining the USAFA Class of '14 :D. I felt it was the best option for my desired carrier path, cargo pilot.

Cool. I'm actually surprised I didn't notice that in your sig when I quoted your post

Anyway, good luck there. Judging by your acceptance record, I doubt that you will encounter any obstacles that you can't bust through

My son received Tier 1, 4 year NROTC Scholarship to University of Notre Dame
He applied early admission to ND and was accepted. He is planning to be a submariner, like his dad!

All of this just came together this week and I am very happy and relieved! Thanks for all of this feedback and support on this forum!

Congrats Lesrunmore to you and your son! :thumb:
Isn't it great when a plan comes together?

Just curious, did your son apply to or visit VMI?
No, he did not. Although he visited North Georgia and several other colleges, the Citadel was the only school to which he applied. I'm originally from that area in SC - maybe that had something to do with it!

Son just found out he recvd a 4yr Navy ROTC scholarship to The Ohio State University--his number one choice.

He has also recvd an appointment to USNA

He's leaning to USNA, but very honored to have been selected for the NROTC scholly--At least he has a viable Plan B!

Congratulations OC Josh--
Did it take this long to officially transfer the scholarship to Wheaton? You will enjoy it there...everything but the cold weather. Thanks for all the positive encouragement to all the other ROTC applicants.

I actually had it transferred rather quickly because of great work done by the scholarship officer at Wheaton. I just didn't post it because I wasn't sure that I had been accepted to Wheaton.

But now that I have been accepted, I feel comfortable posting it!
=)
