Hello, I'm a high school senior looking into ROTC and while I am not eligible for scholarship due to citizenship, I was hoping to try it at least for my freshman and sophomore year in college. The school that I want to go to does not have a ROTC program so anyone who wants to do it has to go to a nearby school. Does anyone have experience with this?

I haven't personally had experience but essentially they are known as crosstown schools. You just have to put in the commute but talk to cadre about attendance because at my AFROTC detachment, the host school starts earlier than some crosstown schools thus they are not required to attend LLAB + PT but need to know the material.

Same standards. I think there's a college locator if you Google.

Thanks, I've sent an email to the ROTC administrator at a nearby school so he should be able to answer my questions

Another thing to consider is that eithor one or both of the schools have web pages that address these questions. Google is your friend (most of the time).
