I am enrolling in ROTC classes next semester & have been doing a lot of research on the scholarships that are available. From what I have read it can be very challenging/competitive to recieve one of these scholarships. Does anyone else have any experience with this? Also, I understand that they categorize the scholarships based on what you're majoring in. My major is Criminal Justice. I've heard this is a common major among ROTC cadets. Thoughts?

What branch of ROTC are you in? Competition for in college scholarships varies each year depending on funding and what is left from the high school scholarships. For Air Force, there are two categories: technical and non-technical. Generally technical have a higher chances of receiving a scholarship and more are given towards technical majors because they are in high demand. However, I'm not too sure about Army. I don't know if the majors have that much of an impact as AFROTC or NROTC.

Just do your best. If it is your first time enrolling in ROTC, I think you should focus on adapting to the culture and waking up super early for PT.
