My son is attending a major university and participating in ROTC. Are University ROTC programs limited as to how many nominations they can submit each year? He just learned that another ROTC cadet is seeking nomination as well.

Not sure if there is a limitation on nominations. I do know that less than 20 will receive an appointment and that includes JROTC as well.

For ROTC at universities as far as I know it is like a Presidential. They can have an unlimited slate, unlike an MOC slate, but like kinnem stated they can only charge nationally 20 cadets.

If I am correct for the ROTC nomination it also includes distinguished JROTC units.

This is why posters will say that if you have one, that is great, but you need to apply for every nomination possible so you can compete on as many slates possible.
