ROTC Rules

FWIW;

Play follow the leader, if you keep your hair at least as short as your commander's, you never get in trouble for it. (always worked for me)

FWIW...

Two weeks ago I brought my DS to school to begin his NROTC Freshman Orientation week. Prior to his reporting he received an extensive packet from his unit listing and describing the REQUIRED Grooming Standards. All freshman were to show up dressed in slacks, shirt and sporting regulation haircuts. The packet even described the appropriate hair length/style for men and women. My DS followed the rules and looked great upon arrival. (He even let me give him his required cut! For the last time :frown:) Needless to say, a number of incoming freshman either failed to read the packet, failed to take the information seriously, or simply didn't care how they looked when they reported...as they were wearing cargo shorts and t-shirts. 3 were sent immediately to "get a haircut" before they were allowed to register.

Simply put...follow the rules. You never get a second chance at a first impression.! And I agree with a previous poster..keep your hair as short if not shorter than the commander.
