I was just curious... how exactly does USNA weigh their admissions process? In my area, there is one school that, in the past year, has put five people onto Navy's Rowing team. Does this essentially mean that nobody else from my area can get in (including me?). Since the majority of the people are in my congressional district, I know that it makes my admission even more competitive. I already have a nom, but I dont know how important that is when there are already three in and two more ascending...
I know that sports are important, but couldn't the academy give the rest of the schools in my area a break?
