Hello,
We are coming to graduation from florida. Usually for parent's weekend we have stayed at hotels but for graduation we we were thinking of bringing our RV. There is a lot of stuff to bring back!! Is there anyplace on campus to park overnight? Or anyplace on Long Island?

Hello,
We are coming to graduation from florida. Usually for parent's weekend we have stayed at hotels but for graduation we we were thinking of bringing our RV. There is a lot of stuff to bring back!! Is there anyplace on campus to park overnight? Or anyplace on Long Island?

There are ten RV spots at the Waterfront for graduation weekend, but they are all reserved 1-2 years in advance. There is no other spot on campus.

All other RV "parks", are too far from KP for it to be practical.

We had a spot reserved last year, which we used this year. I suggest you call KP to find out how you get on the list. It's first come first serve, unless you have someone w/ a car save your space. We rented from Grand Am in Mastock Beach. You could potentially set up at Nickerson Beach Nassau County and drive to and from campus. (We vacationed there after Graduation for 4 days). We've stayed in hotels for all the times we've been to KP, but wanted to RV at Graduation. We are glad we did. It's a great way to extend the four days of events up through Graduation. Be prepared to be tired, but very happy. Yocum Center has showers and bathrooms. Near the pool there are facilities. Generous families shared stories, contacts, food, fun, and fellowship. It was sad to leave!
