Same Engineering and Construction Camp

I thought I'd throw this out there for those who are not aware of this program. My DS attended the camp at USAFA last summer and loved it. I highly recommend it for anyone interested in engineering at an Academy or even ROTC. They have an Air Force, Navy and Army camp.

They also have one at Camp LeJeune Marine Corp base. My son went 2 years ago and said it was the best camp we have ever sent him to :thumb:
 
You are correct. I thought in years past they had them for the Navy but I just looked on their site and don't see Navy listed. Looks like Army, Air Force and Marines. Either way, worth going to any one of them.
 
Although SAE is a reputable organization and they have apparently teamed up with 3 of the military branches, these probably only indirectly relate to USNA. NASS is the program run by USNA for those who want to learn more about their program.

While it might be interesting to attend the SAE program mentioned, it probably has no impact on getting an appointment and more likelly provides a genearl overview to what being in the miltary is like (whether enlisted or as an officer.)
 
Been there... kind of

I was awarded a scholarship to attend the Navy camp in port Hueneme, CA, but that and the marine camp were cancelled due to the sequestration. :frown: That may still be the case this year if it is not on the website.
