Hello everyone,

USAFA recommends candidates to take the SAT/ACT writing.
Question is, how they use/count it in admission process?
I don't even see SAT writing average score in the class of 2015,2014 profile.
Some people say it is optional, and some people say they don't count it.
But, I'm confusing which one is right.
Anyone has an answer?
PS: My DS writing score is always better than reading, I wasn't sure
it is useful or useless...

Thanks in advance,

USAFA "uses" it as a "hmm...let's see how they did."

"Formally" there isn't a "pass/fail" score for this portion of the test. It is viewed by the boards and I will say this: a really POOR or really OUTSTANDING score WILL get noticed!

But currently it's not too critical...keep it in the "reasonable" range compared to your other scores and don't worry about it.
