SAT scores and nominations

Hello!

I'm an entering senior and part way through the USNA admissions process. I've already closed my application with the Naval Academy, but I still need to send off my nomination applications. I have everything together, but I've run into a roadblock.

When I took the SAT, I put in two nomination sources as well as the Academy (which, I believe, will also account for the Vice Presidential nomination) to receive my scores. Only the Academy has reported receiving the scores.

I didn't send the third because his code was rejected from the website, saying they had no results for that or for his name.

I'm not sure if the other sources received them and are saying they haven't because (since I haven't put in the rest of my application) they have no name to match it to (though I did put in the preliminary), or because they actually did not receive a copy.

Trying to get official scores sent to my home has yielded no results, and I'm not sure if Collegeboard would even do that, in order to prevent tampering.

Any suggestions on what to do? I'm not sure if I should resend them, because that would cost money and I'm not even positive whether or not they have the scores, but I would like to send my whole packet altogether. (I'm applying with Idaho nomination sources.)

I recommend checking with the person at each MOC's office who handles SA noms.

Short answer. Do not resend. They will get there, possibly thru USNA communiques. Others may want to address your details ... you lost me in this, I admit. But if you've taken the steps you've noted, they will get them. Keep checking w/ your nom sources ...WITHOUT being a painful cog. Tactful timely inquiry. Ask your Admissions Officer about this, if you remain confused.

The MOCs all have multiple office locations. Your SAT scores may have been sent to the Washington DC office while the SA Coordinator is at the local office or vice versa. At a minimum you could send an unofficial copy of your SAT scores along with the rest of your application packet and then followup with the MOC office at a later date to confirm they have the official scores. In Kentucky, the MOCs were fine with unofficial copies of the exams. But in the end, only your MOC coordicator can provide confirmation or clarification that your application is complete or is lacking something.
