so I took the SAT for the first time, and I got my results today.
    CR-630
    Math-530
I know math is pretty low, so what score should I aim to improve it to for the next SAT? Also, is my CR good?

Your aim is 800 on each section. I would also recommend taking the ACT because some people do better on that one. You have nothing to lose. Take each test as many times as you can afford as the SAs will take the highest in each category. Study hard and press on.

Remember USNA super scores so definitely study. There are tons of threads on here regarding SAT/ACT scores and suggestions to help improve. If you family can afford it, look at some tutoring on test techniques. For the Class of 2019:

Verbal 590-670 Math 620-690 * Middle 50th percentile* 50% of the class achieved SAT scores within the range between the 25th and 75th percentile

Definitely take the ACT. You might do better there.
