So if you guys haven't heard the college board messed up on the June 6th SATS and are offering a free retest in October. I was wondering if it would be beneficial for me to take it again? It was my third time taking them. I don't want to make it look bad that I am taking them so many times, since the next test would be fourth time. Yet at the same time it is another opportunity to better my scores. Do you think it would look bad to admissions?

Take it if you think you can do better. You have all summer to work on practice tests and methods.

I know some schools like Stanford do care how many times you take it and require you to send in scores from all tests you have taken, but I don't think any of the service academies care how many times you take it.

Take the ACT/SAT as many times as you can. SA super score the results. In other words they take your highest scores. Typically, you'll plateau about your 3rd or fourth time. Then you'll need to seek help preparing and/or leaning the technique of taking the tests to better your scores. There are a plethora of programs available to help you achieve the best score possible if you are will to apply yourself and how bad you want it.

My DS took the test 7 times
