Scenes from D-Day, Then and Now

Pretty kewl! I have to say I chuckled on one pick when there were soldiers on the beach, some wounded in the 'then' pic and a woman in a bikini in the 'now' pic Wasn't expecting that.

What would have been strange would have been a blended picture (like the first example in the article) with part of the picture having soldiers on the beach right next to the girl in the bikini. The wonders of photoshop...
 
Thank you for post this. It's incredible to see how some of the structures have stood the test of time and the ravages of war.

I especially liked some of the symbolism in the picture of the dead German soldier in the "then" picture and the family crossing the street in the "now" picture. The kids in the now pic have their heads down almost like they are remembering the death and the father while yes he's looking at the photographer you can almost think of him looking at where the fallen soldier is laying remembering as well.
