scholarship vs. academy

My DS received a Type I AFROTC scholarship to attend The Citadel about a week later he received an email from the interviewer for the Air Force Academy that she ranked him #1. Will the scholarship adversely effect his chances of getting an appointment?

No. USAFA and AFROTC are seperate processes. Congrats on the Type 1. It is important to have a solid plan B. Good luck. :thumb:
 
Like many cadets, my son received both an appointment to the Academy and a AFROTC scholarship. I don't believe one affected the other at all.

Congrats to your DS! Question, was this a Commanders Leadership Scholarship he received to the Citadel? The reason I ask is because the first AFROTC HSSP board concluded today, and the results were expected to released towards the end of the month. Also a AFROTC HSSP scholarship is not university specific, meaning a recipient can take it to any University that has an AFROTC Det with his major.
