Now that the AROTC application is going to be closed on Oct 18th for the board starting on Oct 25, my son is trying to see whether there needs to be any change for the school of intent list.

There are two schools that are served by the same battalion. My son will be happy at either school, though he prefers one over the other (both are private schools in a battalion where the hosting college and all the cross affiliate schools are private). He put his preferred school as #1. He put the other school as #7 on the list, not because that's the school he least prefers, but because he wanted to have a shot at getting a scholarship at couple of other schools he likes by putting them on a top 3 or top 5 list.

Do you think it makes sense to put both schools of the same battalion on the school of choice list?

My son did. He put Dickinson and Gettysburg on his list; they're in the same battalion. Both were approved in his final list of 5.
