I have already began the process of talking to previous teachers about filling out these the evaluation forms for me. The catch is I do not know when they are due and where I can find them. Can anyone fill me in as to where to find them, and when they must be submitted by?

Is your SSK activiated on the candidate portal?

If yes, look for School Official Evaluation section. You are supposed to enter their email addresses. Your teachers will get a message with a link that will take them to fill out the evaulation.

Techinically, by Feb 28, 2013 or whenever the application deadline is when they have to submitted. But no reason to wait until the last minute.

I am a high school junior, so that would mean that it would be due my senior year at the application deadline?

The SOEs are part of the portal, so you won't be able to access them yet.

I would recommend asking your teachers before the summer starts, because typically the portal opens at the beginning of summer, when school ends. A lot of teachers don't check their e-mails, so it's a good idea to remind them.

While I do applaud your efforts to get stuff done early, it might be hard with the SOEs. Your teachers may not remember months from now. Also note that the SOEs are shorter then typical letters of recommendation; so the evaluators won't need as much prep, in my opinion.

Thank you, I appreciate the info! I just discovered that my candidate portal will open when I apply for summer seminar.
