Second Time on the Roller Coaster

Add us to the list as We too are on the roller coaster again. DS is determined to follow this path, (minus the waitlist), as that was truly no fun. Currey, our experience nearly duplicated yours, i followed your saga as closely as we monitored our own mailbox, I think we got the TWE at same time. I'm cheering all of you on, praying the second time on the roller coaster successfully brings some thrills, and hoping we will meet at I-day next year. My DS is a prior enlisted that had a LOA for a direct admit this year, but needed a color blind medical waiver from the Superintendent. We had to wait until Apr 15 for him to make a decision on those limited waiver spots (less than 20 per year...usually closer to 12). Fortunately, my DS received one of those waivers this year for NAPS...so if all goes according to plan, he'll be one of those prior enlisted Napsters helping your DS & DD's out at I-day 2019. There's a great group of kids in this thread that will make outstanding Mids and a wonderfully supportive group of parents. Good Luck to all!
 
Activedutymom I'll be attending NAPS as well! Hopefully I will see all y'all on I-Day 2015 as well!!

DS was blessed with a prior enlisted NAPster as one of his roommates for Class of 2018 on Tuesday. I'm sure your DS will make someone very happy next year!
 
I am active duty as well it is kind of like my second time applying. I was new to my command and was not able to get my COs recommendation but this year looks very promising. I have an early start and am looking to have everything in by September to get those first looks. I wish everyone luck hope to see you there

My DD decided to keep her ROTC scholarship and do not reapply.

Nollie, I'm so sorry to hear your news. My DS will be at JU in the NROTC program. Where is your DS headed? PM me if you like! Welcome aboard!
