    Hello there,

I was awarded a 4-year Army ROTC scholarship which I accepted to University of Virginia. I was denied to UVA and then went ahead and transferred the scholarship to the University of Florida. After hearing back from one of my reach schools yesterday, I am almost considering transferring my scholarship to that school. Would this even be possible anymore? Would I be at more risk of loosing my scholarship? Or as long as I send in my request before April 13 should I be okay?

    Thanks for the help.

When you say you transferred your scholarship to UofF, you already requested a transfer and it was granted? The worst that can happen is your request is denied. As long as you have an acceptance letter to your school of choice, and have a valid reason for wanting to transfer It can't hurt to try. UofF probably won't be thrilled with you if your second request gets shot down, but you'll just have to win them over.

One other option to consider is to walk away from that scholarship to attend the reach school and compete for a campus based scholarship. If you are a STEM and show up ready to rock you might be able to make it happen.

I submitted my request to transfer my scholarship from UVA to UF. It has not already been granted, and I don't think they will even start to look at transfer requests until after the April 13 deadline (am I correct?). Since I haven't heard anything regarding my request and since I don't believe they've even looked at any requests, I wanted to revoke my initial request and just resubmit a new one before the April 13 deadline.

Do you think this will work? Will I loose any chance of transferring the scholarship?

    THanks @clarksonarmy

I don't think they wait to consider transfer requests. I think they take them as they come. That being said you should be contacting Cadet Command to ask about requesting the transfer, and you should be talking to the school you want to attend. Cadet Command would be the ones who can pull your old request from the pile and replace it with your new request. The school you want to attend will be able to advocate for you, and if they have some campus based offers to make after the national process is done and your request isn't granted you would have one last shot at getting to your school of choice.
