I have submitted two Senatorial nomination applications already, and both said that they would tell me about their decision in late 2022. However, I haven't gotten anything back yet. This automatically makes me think that I have been declined a nomination, but I still have four days to wait. Is anyone else encountering this situation?

It depends on who your senators are. I'm from NJ, and I heard that we find out on Jan 31.

The deadline for MOCs to submit their slates is 1/31. With 535 MOCs, there are that many different ways that they might go about it. You mentioned two Senators; hopefully you also applied with your House member, as well as for the VP nom. In any case, with all things military, patience is a virtue.

While I am not experiencing the same situation as you right now, I hope to offer you a bit of reassurance. I had one of my senator interviews back in early November and was told I would receive news about the decision by Christmas. Days ticked by and as the weeks went on, I also became a bit worried that I'd be receiving negative news as Christmas was fast approaching and I still hadn't heard anything yet. Wednesday of last week, I checked the mail and to my delight, a letter informing me of my nomination was there waiting for me. Wednesday, the 21st, only 4 days out from Christmas. It was quite the wait, but worth it.

Of course, I cannot guarantee that this will also happen to you, but it's worth noting that no news doesn't necessarily mean bad news even if you have to wait very near to the provided date.

I wish you luck with your nomination!

Thx! That was helpful
