In the "Instructions to Appointees" booklet, we are told that to receive validation credit we have to send AP scores to certain departments within USAFA.

My question is--given that (as far as I can discover) College Board only allows you to send to universities (by college code) rather than departments within said universities, is it necessary for me to do anything other than request a score report be sent? The "Instructions to Appointees" booklet lists different suites for different departments.

I've read up on this forum about validation credits, but if anyone would like to chime in for me and the lurker population about the pros and cons of validating, I'd appreciate it. I'm hoping to validate Calculus I and II and English 111. It looks like English is an automatic validation and that Calculus is placement + AP score to determine credit.

Chemistry, Physics, and Macroeconomics also seem to be automatic validations according to my friend who is a C4C.

Any info on history classes (specifically APUSH and Euro)?
