Sending packages

Just found out from my mid that a package I shipped priority mail to him in the first week of December is missing in action. I know that there is an express office, but thought that by shipping some basic care package items via priority mail through the USPS would suffice. Any advice to make things go faster? A package that was shipped by someone else to him took about a month as well. Obviously we need to go back to package 101 school as we must be doing something wrong. Any advice?

We often used either FedEx or UPS and sent them to the Express Office rather than POBox/USPS mail. Always worked. And we tracked them also.
