What's the easiest way of getting the word out to your friends on what your mailing address is during CBT?

I was thinking along the lines of making a list of all of my friend's e-mail addresses then once I find out my mailing address is, sending a letter to my parents with it and having them forward it to my friends.

Are there easier ways or is this typically what other people do?

USMA will send your mailing address to you a few weeks before CBT starts. You can send it to all your friends then. Good luck!

You get your PO box early-mid June. However, when you are in the field, letters need to have your company on them. Parents can pick up a card w/ address and company info in Ike Hall on R day. We just sent an email to those we thought would be writing our cadet w/ the company info. We had a going away party prior to Rday and had pre-addressed envelopes for the guests.

I forgot about needing the company for mail in the field. That will be during the second half of Beast. In your first letter home you can tell your parents which company you are in and they can share it. Or, if you know someone else whose parents are going to R-day, they could pick up the card with your company information and share that with your parents.

Mail in the field will only be an issue for the week before Marchback. They were really "out in the field" though, sleeping on the ground. I don't think they had much mail delivery that week anyway, from what I recall.
Of course, that could change and they could be sleeping in the bays at Buckner this year - who knows!
