Senior Schedule

It's unweighted. Therefore AP and IB classes are on a different scale allowing a higher GPA.

Also wondering about what I should take next year.
Current courses:
American Literature Honors
AP Calc AB
Physics Honors
Cappella
Japanese 1
US History

Next year schedule so far:
AP Statistics vs AP Calc BC...
AP Chemistry
AP Gov/econ
AP Literature vs Voices of Modern Culture
Cappella
Japanese 2.

Main dilemma is whether or not i should take AP Lit. I'm leaning towards taking AP Statistics because I'm already taking AP Calc AB my junior year but... opinions?

Well, do you need to boost your class rank? That would probably be a good reason to take AP Lit. Also, I feel you should go with AP Stats if you've already taken AP Calc AB. Or maybe you could take an advanced calculus course at a local community college.
Out of curiosity, what's capella?

Yeah, at my school we dont have weighted grades - thats why i was confused about the 4.3 GPA. Hypothetically, you could take 101 classes throughout and be No1 in the class. It never happens, though.

Dude I wish I only had 6 classes.. I have 8 a year, 4 a day for an hour and 30 mins each and I'm on an A/B schedule.. Dang weighted grade a 4.37 and only 3rd!!!! I have a 4.48 and I'm 27th!!! Unweighted is definitely not a 4.0 though.

The first semester of BC Calc is the same as the whole year for AB. At my school, you either take AB or BC, you cannot take AB one year and then BC the next. Usually people who take AB go into Stat and the BC people, many of them go into a Georgia Tech Calculus class

My school will allow you to take BC after AB calc, but yea, you will be doing the same material for the first semester which you may or may not use to your advantage if you did well as a GPA booster. If you could though, I'd look into taking a more advanced calc class at a local community college
