So I need advice from the community. I go to a catholic school which requires a religion class each year. In senior year we have the option of taking either
IB World Religions
World Religions
Or Christian Ministry which is a group of seniors who plan and lead all masses retreats and other religious activities in the school
Should I apply for the Christian ministry group and take the leadership credit on the application or should I do IB World Religions and add to the rigor of my senior schedule.
Thanks

It depends on the rest of your application as well as the current rigor of your schedule. At this point in the game, they will not see your senior year grades unless you are appointed, but if you have any academic deficiencies/non-rigorous high school transcript it might be able to combat that. A side note, your academic qualifications are worth more on the application than your leadership data. If you are lacking on leadership then go for the ministry group, but unless you are president/VP of that group it will not help your leadership score. If you have not interviewed for nominations however, that will certainly give you something to speak about from a leadership standpoint. This is extremely relative to your situation and the strengths/weaknesses of your application. Do not overthink it. I would pick IB or Ministry depending on the status and needs of your application.
