Hi all, I am an alumni of the USMMA. I was wondering if anyone is aware of an attorney who deals with service obligations or has a recommendation for one that would deal with them. Please PM if you do. Thank you.

Google this phrase: attorneys specializing in military law

Several entries will come up as a place to start your search. There are many firms with former JAGs who deal with various aspects of military service, whether criminal or administrative matters, which is what service obligation would fall under.

    Excellent advice, Capt MJ.

globallogistics, be careful not to go with someone who doesn't have JAG experience. Regular lawyers will analyze this under regular contract law -- but it is really a military regulations case (different rules apply). Also, this developing story will likely have a direct bearing on your situation: http://www.usafa.af.mil/news/story.asp?id=123240940 (this story applies to AF, but I'm sure RIF is in works for other services as well).
