My counselor notified me about my LOA and I was wondering if I should notify my nomination sources. I applied for my two senators as well as my congressman, and I was wondering if I should notify them.

I certainly would, but you may get different responses from the different MOC's. When my son got his LOA from USNA, the MOC's had already received a copy. When he got it from USAFA, and contacted the MOC's, none of their offices had yet been informed. Which was relevant, since it was just a couple days before his interview.

However, when he emailed the copy, one of the senator's offices told him they'd be sure to make copies and include it in his file for the board members. The other told him they couldn't include anything not before the deadline; however, he could bring it up at the interview. He didn't even have to because evidently they made a note of it and the first question he was asked was "So we hear you may have a status update for us?"

The congressman's office told him they didn't include any mention of LOA's in the file - even his Navy one which had been submitted well before the deadline - to keep the files uniform. They did, though, say that he could mention it.

I'd scan and copy it and email it to your MOC's. Even if they don't include it before the board, I think it's important for the MOC/staffer to have in aiding in their decision.

My son sent his

My son sent a copy of his LOA two our senators and congressman. He'll likely try to mention it during his upcoming interview in Dec.
