SLE acceptance

SLS

My DS attended SLS last year and school was still in session. The Administration was very supportive, as well as his teachers, and we were able to schedule his finals around his attendance.

Is it a done deal that there is only

to be 1 SLE Week, the 1rst week? Having read as much as we could
find we see only that the decisions are moved to next week,
but can't find anything official about only holding SLE the 1rst week?

Its nice to be able to be flexible with that first week in one's
HS District, but DS laughed out loud when I asked him if he thought
his District would be so inclined. Ah, NO was his reply, though he'll
try to be persuasive and creative as one poster termed it.

All students waiting for SLE offers - here's an update. We are getting closer, but we are not offering yet. Currently, it looks like we will offer one session, from 1-7 June 2013, 500 attendees. Next week, I am told that I will be able to offer. Here is the entire message: "Due to current federal budget restrictions and our ongoing barracks renovation planning, SLE offers will not be made until 4-7 March 2013. Offers will be via email, with information posted on each candidate's portal as well. If the remote possibility of SLE cancellation occurs, an announcement will be made by 7 March 2013. If cancellation were to occur, in addition to social media platforms, each applicant will be sent an email. Thanks to all for your patience."

Thank you very much.

Certainly there is a reason for the week picked, but it doesn't help DS. Surely there are regions that are out of school that early. But I am sure a whole lot more would be out, and available to attend, if the 2nd week was the one saved. I fine this whole sordid DC-mess to be nonsensical as none of it inconveniences those who actions or lack of same impact on the rest of us.

So has anybody gotten emails yet or are the going to come later today (if they even come today)? Good luck to everyone, hope I get in to what's probably going to be the most competitive SLE yet.

Its not even 10am on a Monday morning - do you really expect that a decision has already been made? Afternoon at best, on the 7th most likely.

Has anyone received an offer? Sorry if this question has been addressed before, but is everyone suppose to hear from the admissions office by Thursday?

I received an acceptance this morning. I was accepted to all three summer seminars and now I have to decide which two I will attend.

I haven't received any emails saying accepted or denied. Does anyone know how they are sending them out by?

I saw that. I was wondering if they were sending by region, alphabetical, acceptances first, etc.
