SLE acceptance

My DS still hasn't heard anything either. Anyone have any idea how many applicants were put on the waitlist?

I don't, sorry. DS sent a portal message to admissions about status on or about 8 March, after Admissions had posted on Facebook both that offers had gone out and that everyone (accepted or rejected) would receive some kind of notification. As of that date, he had not heard anything. He received no response to that inquiry until this past Tuesday, 12 March, when he was advised to check his portal status. A wait list notice was posted thereon.

Anyone who hasn't heard would be wait listed. They haven't been rejected, but with only one session, there may be more declines and so more people on the wait list eventually get an offer.

They will serve the mess hall food or grant hall.

Shelby: Just a warning it is fairly difficult to be either vegan or vegetarian here at the academy. They will do your best to accommodate you,but getting the nutrients you need will be hard.

My room mate during beast was vegetarian and literally lived off of bread and peanut butter during training because no other options were available during the time we had to eat. I do not believe there are vegan MRE's (meal ready to eat)

Just keep this in mind, it's obviously not an end all, but rather an obstacle you should be prepared for.

There are actually a couple of vegan MREs (and they are delicious, in my opinion).

SLE Acceptance Protocol

Has anyone seen when/how SLE acceptances are due? My husband, generally fairly hands off, did remind our oldest to be sure to accept all summer offers in a timely fashion and the response was "I have with the usafa ss and I made flight reservations...but the SLE email just said sit tight and they would be back in touch. Until then, it was basically 'regrets only' ".

Did others get the same 'message' from the acceptance email?

@Stella

I was a bit confused about that as well but that's what I interpreted it as aswell

Vegetarian

Shelby: I am a vegetarian and last year during sls the food options were better than expected (coincidentally there was another vegetarian in my squad). I received my appointment and now I'm not sure whether or not I'll be able to maintain vegetarianism throughout beast and the academic year (and if it's worth catching grief from cadre). I did not go hungry at all during sls and the vegetarian MRE was actually great. You should be fine for the week, but I'm not sure about beast, ect.

I have no official correspondences from Westpoint Admissions. My SLE status just says "PENDING." Am I on the wait-list?
